NAVIGATION / MULTI INFO DISPLAY: HARD DISK DRIVE: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
* After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Service Precautions.
* w/ Daytime Running Light:
* A Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is built into the navigation receiver assembly to store map and other data, and is used for the navigation system. Therefore, care must be taken for the following points when handling the navigation receiver assembly.
* w/o Daytime Running Light:
* A Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is built into the radio and display receiver assembly to store multi-media data, and is used for the audio and visual system. Therefore, care must be taken for the following points when handling the radio and display receiver assembly.
* When removing the hard disc drive, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent components from being damaged.

2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD (for Separate Type) Removal

3. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal

4. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD Removal

5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

6. REMOVE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH Removal

9. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE NAVIGATION RECEIVER WITH BRACKET (w/ Daytime Running Light) Removal

11. REMOVE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/o Daytime Running Light) Removal

12. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET (w/ Daytime Running Light) Removal

13. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET (w/o Daytime Running Light) Removal

14. REMOVE HARD DISK DRIVE

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides to remove the cover.

(c) Using a screwdriver with its tip taped with protective tape, slide the hard disk drive in the direction shown by the arrow to remove it.
