Water Pump: Testing and Inspection

Water Pump Inspection

1. Remove the front undercover and the splash shield Engine Removal.

2. Remove the drive belt Service and Repair.

3. Remove the auto-tensioner Service and Repair.

4. Turn the water pump pulley counterclockwise. Check that it turns freely. If it does not turn smoothly, replace the water pump Service and Repair.

NOTE: When you check the water pump, you may see a small amount of "weeping" from the bleed holes (A). This is normal.





5. Install the auto-tensioner Service and Repair.

6. Install the drive belt Service and Repair.

7. Install the splash shield and the front undercover Engine Installation.
