Preparations
After spraying, rust-proof the new tailgate.
Transfer the gas strut and cover.

Note! All components must be removed from the tailgate while in position.

Ensure that the components and cable harnesses are installed in such a way that they do not rattle.

Replacing components on the tailgate

Replace:
- the panel according to Tailgate panel
- the rear spoiler according to Replacing the rear spoiler V40 Rear Spoiler
- the lock mechanism according to Tailgate lock mechanism Tailgate Lock Mechanism
- the lock cylinder according to Tailgate lock cylinder Tailgate Lock Cylinder
Adjust the tailgate according to Adjusting the tailgate Adjustments.
