Center and Rear Mufflers Overview






1 Bolt

23 Nm

2 Suspended Mount

Replace if damaged.

3 Suspended Mount

Replace if damaged.

4 Bolt

23 Nm

5 Suspended Mount

Replace if damaged.

6 Nut

35 Nm

7 Front Clamping Sleeves

Always replace.

Installed position, refer to => [ Installed Position of the Front Clamping Sleeve ].

Before tightening, align the exhaust system so that it is free of tension. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair.

Tighten the nuts evenly.

8 Nut

35 Nm

9 Front Clamping Sleeves

Always replace.

Installed position, refer to => [ Installed Position of the Front Clamping Sleeve ].

Before tightening, align the exhaust system so that it is free of tension. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair.

Tighten the nuts evenly.

10 Center Muffler

Original equipment as one unit with the rear muffler. For repairs, replace each separately.

Separating point, refer to => [ Center and Rear Muffler, Separating ] Center and Rear Muffler, Separating.

Install the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair.

11 Suspended Mount

Replace if damaged.

12 Bolt

23 Nm

13 Left Tailpipe

Tightening specification: 60 Nm

Aligning, refer to => [ Tailpipes, Replacing and Aligning ] Tailpipes, Replacing and Aligning.

14 Rear Muffler

Original equipment as one unit with the center muffler.

In case of repairs, the center muffler, rear muffler and tailpipe should be replaced individually.

Separating point center muffler/rear muffler. Refer to => [ Center and Rear Muffler, Separating ] Center and Rear Muffler, Separating.

Install the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair.

15 Right Tailpipe

Tightening specification: 60 Nm.

Aligning, refer to => [ Tailpipes, Replacing and Aligning ] Tailpipes, Replacing and Aligning.

Installed Position of the Front Clamping Sleeve





Threaded connections point toward the outside.
