Installation (from 07/2011)

1NZ-FE BATTERY / CHARGING: GENERATOR (for Hatchback): INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Temporarily install the generator assembly with the fixing bolt.

(b) Install the piping clamp with the bolt A and screw B.





Bolt A - Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

(c) Temporarily install the fan belt adjusting slider with fan belt adjusting slider fixing bolt A and nut B.





(d) Move generator assembly toward the cylinder block and tighten nut B.

Torque : 11 Nm (112 kgf-cm, 8 ft-lbf)

(e) Connect the connector and engage the clamp.

(f) Install the wire harness to terminal B with the nut.

Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

(g) Install the terminal cap.

2. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Installation (from 07/2011)

3. ADJUST FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Installation (from 07/2011)

4. INSPECT FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Testing and Inspection

5. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
