1NZ-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST PIPE (for Hatchback): REMOVAL

1. REMOVE OXYGEN SENSOR

2. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE Removal (from 07/2011)

3. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs, and separate the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the front exhaust pipe assembly.





(b) Remove the 2 exhaust pipe supports and the tail exhaust pipe assembly.

4. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE GASKET

(a) Remove the No. 2 exhaust pipe gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs, and separate the front exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold.





(b) Remove the 3 exhaust pipe supports and the front exhaust pipe assembly.

6. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE GASKET

(a) Remove the exhaust pipe gasket from the exhaust manifold.

7. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE BAFFLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Side Mudguard)

(a) Using a plastic hammer, uniformly tap out and remove the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly.
