Removal (from 07/2011)

1NZ-FE COOLING: WATER PUMP (for Hatchback): REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

2. DRAIN COOLANT Service and Repair

3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH





(a) Remove the 3 screws, 2 bolts and the engine under cover RH.

4. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Removal (from 07/2011)

5. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)

6. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Removal (from 07/2011)

7. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY





(a) Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.

(b) Remove the 3 bolts and the water pump pulley.

8. REMOVE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 3 bolts, 2 nuts the water pump assembly and water pump gasket.
