1NZ-FE BATTERY / CHARGING: GENERATOR (for Hatchback): REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

4. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Removal (from 07/2011)

5. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the terminal cap.

(b) Disconnect the connector and the harness clamp.

(c) Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.

(d) Remove the belt adjusting slider fixing bolt A, nut B and the belt adjusting slider.





(e) Remove the bolt A, screw B and the piping clamp.





(f) Remove the fixing bolt and the generator assembly.
