INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
Disassembly of the rear speed sensor from the rear axle hub and bearing assembly is prohibited.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MOMENTARY INTERRUPTION) Anti-Lock Brake System for Hatchback (from 07/2011)
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SPEED SENSOR WIRE)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR SPEED SENSOR) Anti-Lock Brake System for Hatchback (from 07/2011)
NG -- CHECK REAR SPEED SENSOR INSTALLATION
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. PERFORM TEST MODE (SIGNAL CHECK)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Perform the sensor check in the Test Mode procedure Test Mode Procedure (from 07/2011).
OK:
All Test Mode DTCs are cleared.
NG -- CHECK REAR SPEED SENSOR INSTALLATION
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Clear the DTCs Anti-Lock Brake System (for Hatchback).
(c) Start the engine.
(d) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for at least 60 seconds.
(e) Check if the same DTC is recorded Anti-Lock Brake System (for Hatchback).

10. REPLACE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY (REAR SPEED SENSOR, SENSOR ROTOR)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Replace the rear speed sensor and rear axle hub and bearing assembly Removal (from 07/2011).
NOTICE:
Check the speed sensor signal after replacement Test Mode Procedure (from 07/2011).
HINT
The rear speed sensor rotor is incorporated into the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
If the rear speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the rear axle hub and bearing assembly with rear speed sensor.
