Removal





HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Service and Repair

3. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER Removal

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

Removal

6. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE NO. 5 INVERTER BRACKET Removal

9. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT Removal

10. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR RH Removal

11. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and guide, and remove the radiator side deflector LH as shown in the illustration.





12. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler condenser assembly.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

13. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

14. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts.





(b) Pull the radiator assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow.





(c) Remove the 2 bolts.





(d) Remove the cooler condenser assembly as shown in the illustration.
