Removal

DOOR / HATCH: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH Removal

3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and hood lock control lever sub-assembly.





(b) Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and hood lock assembly.





(b) Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly form the hood lock assembly.

6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage 6 clamps shown in the illustration.









HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
