INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Disengage the 6 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

11. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

(a) Remove the clip.

(b) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim board LH.

12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

13. SEPARATE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH Removal

16. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH Removal

17. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER LH

(a) Fold down the bench type rear seatback assembly.

(b) Disengage the 2 clips and disconnect the luggage compartment inner trim cover LH.

18. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

19. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH

(a) Pull up the rear seatback assembly.

(b) Remove the clip.

(c) Disengage the 8 clips and 8 claws, remove the luggage compartment trim cover LH.

20. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

21. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM LID SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Along the arrow in the illustration, disengage the 6 claws.

(b) Disengage the 2 clips and 2 guides.

HINT
Make the quarter trim lid sub-assembly LH hang down from the lid cover clip.

(c) Push the lid cover clip knobs in the direction of the arrow to remove the 2 lid cover clips along with the quarter trim lid sub-assembly LH.

(d) Remove the 2 lid cover clips from the lid cover LH.

NOTICE:
If there is any damage, be sure to replace the lid cover clip with a new one.

22. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM LID SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

23. REMOVE REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH LH

(a) Remove the bolt.

(b) Disengage the 2 clips and guide remove the rear window side garnish LH.

24. REMOVE REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

25. REMOVE REAR QUARTER TRIM FRONT GARNISH LH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts.

(b) Disengage the clip and claw remove the rear quarter trim front garnish LH.

26. REMOVE REAR QUARTER TRIM FRONT GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

27. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and clip.

(b) Disengage the clips and 2 guides remove the center pillar garnish LH.

28. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

29. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

30. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

31. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

32. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws remove the 2 visor holders.

33. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the connector from the front pillar RH.

(b) Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the connector from the front pillar LH.

(d) Disconnect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector.

(e) Disengage the clip at the front of the roof headlining, and remove the roof headlining assembly.

(f) Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front passenger side door.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.
