Installation

STEERING COLUMN: STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the steering column assembly with the 4 nuts.

Torque : 26 Nm (260 kgf-cm, 19 ft-lbf)

(b) Connect the connectors and wire harness clamps to the steering column assembly.

2. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the clamp to the steering column hole cover.

(b) Align the matchmarks on the No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly and the steering column.

(d) Align the matchmarks on the No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly and the steering link.

(e) Install the bolt.

Torque : 35 Nm (360 kgf-cm, 26 ft-lbf)

3. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

4. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the air duct.

(b) Install the bolt.

Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

(c) Attach the 2 claws and install the wiring harness protector.

5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

6. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Installation

9. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING Installation

10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Installation

11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

12. INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the turn signal switch assembly with spiral cable sub-assembly to the steering column assembly with the clamp.

(b) Connect the connectors to the turn signal switch assembly with spiral cable sub-assembly.

13. INSTALL TILT AND TELESCOPIC SWITCH

(a) Attach the claw to install the switch.

(b) Connect the switch connector.

14. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/o Driver Monitor Camera)

(a) Attach the claw to install the upper steering column cover.

(b) Attach the 4 clips to install the upper steering column cover onto the instrument cluster finish panel.

(c) Attach the 2 claws to install the lower steering column cover.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the tilt and telescopic switch.

(d) Install the 3 screws.

Torque : 2.0 Nm (20 kgf-cm, 18 in-lbf)

15. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/ Driver Monitor Camera)

(a) Connect the driver monitor connector.

(b) Attach the claw to install the upper steering column cover.

(c) Attach the 4 clips to install the upper steering column cover onto the instrument cluster finish panel.

(d) Attach the 2 claws to install the lower steering column cover.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the tilt and telescopic switch.

(e) Install the 3 screws.

Torque : 2.0 Nm (20 kgf-cm, 18 in-lbf)

16. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB- ASSEMBLY Testing and Inspection

17. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Align the matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft assembly.

(b) Install the steering wheel assembly set nut.

Torque : 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf)

18. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT

19. INSPECT STEERING PAD

(a) Inspect the steering pad Steering Pad.

20. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL PAD Installation

21. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER Installation

22. INSTALL SWITCH AND VOLUME CASE Installation

23. CHECK FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

24. INSTALL FRONT WHEELS

Torque : 140 Nm (1428 kgf-cm, 103 ft-lbf)

25. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
* Reset the AUTO TILT AWAY function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter Programming and Relearning.
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
26. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

27. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Installation

28. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

29. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Inspect the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
