Test C: The Convertible Top Does Not Raise Or Does Not Go Up All the Way

PINPOINT TEST C: THE CONVERTIBLE TOP DOES NOT RAISE OR DOES NOT GO UP ALL THE WAY

C1-C2:

Normal Operation
The convertible top switch supplies a ground signal for the FEM on circuits 8-AG15 (WH/RD) and 10-AG15 (GY/RD). The FEM sends the signal to the REM over the SCP communication link. The REM grounds (using either circuit 10-AG24 [GY/OG] or circuit 8-AG16 [WH/BU]) the appropriate relay to direct power through the convertible top motor to raise or lower the convertible top. When the raise or lower relay is operating, the other relay remains in its normal state and supplies the motor/pump ground.

Possible Causes
- convertible top adjustment
- hydraulic lift cylinders
- hydraulic system
