Seat Back Panel Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement (Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the chrome head restraint trim from the headrest. Refer to Chrome Head Restraint Trim Replacement (Chrome Head Restraint Trim Replacement) .
3. Remove the seat belt guide. Refer to Seat Belt Guide Replacement - Front (Seat Belt Guide Replacement - Front) .




4. Remove the seat back cover retaining tabs (2) along each side of the seat back panel (1).
5. Remove the seat back cover retaining tabs (3) along the bottom of the seat back panel (1).




6. Remove the top screw securing the seat back panel to the seat back headrest.




7. Remove the 2 screws securing the seat back panel to the seat back assembly.




8. Remove the seat back panel by pulling rearward to unsnap the panel clips from the seat back frame.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the seat back panel to the seat back frame by pressing clips firmly into place.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the top screw securing the seat back panel to the seat back headrest.

Tighten the seat back panel screw to 6.25 N.m (55 lb in).





3. Install the 2 screws securing the seat back panel to the seat back assembly.

Tighten the seat back panel screws to 6.25 N.m (55 lb in).





4. Install the seat back cover retaining tabs (2) along each side of the seat back panel (1).
5. Install the seat back cover retaining tabs (3) along the bottom of the seat back panel (1).
6. Install the seat belt guide. Refer to Seat Belt Guide Replacement - Front (Seat Belt Guide Replacement - Front) .
7. Install the chrome head restraint trim to the headrest. Refer to Chrome Head Restraint Trim Replacement (Chrome Head Restraint Trim Replacement) .
8. Install the seat in the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement (Seat Replacement) .
