Removing

• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Description and Operation.

• Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

- Seat frame Remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.

- Detach backrest cover from the seat frame in the area of the valve block. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Individual Power Rear Seat ] Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Individual Power Rear Seat.

- Disconnect the connector - 3 -.






- Push valve block for massage mat - 4 - up slightly - arrow A - and remove it.

- Carefully release locking mechanism - arrow B -, disconnect pneumatic lines - 1 - and - 2 -.

- Disconnect pneumatic lines to the massage mat air cushions at the following points. Refer to => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Pneumatic Lines ] Disconnecting and Connecting Pneumatic Lines:

Installing

• Observe all measures when installing the rear seat. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
