Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Individual Power Rear Seat
Removing
- Remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.
- Remove headrest guides. Refer to => [ Headrest Guide ] Headrest Guide.
- Remove the rear side airbag. Refer to => [ Rear Side Airbag with Igniter N201/N202 - Individual Power Rear Seat ] Rear Side Airbag with Igniter N201/N202 - Individual Power Rear Seat.
- Unclip retaining strip - 1 - for backrest cover all around the bracket - 2 - by releasing catches using a screwdriver.
- Detach bracket compression spring - 4 - using a screwdriver on the clip - 3 -.
- Unclip bracket at the pin - 5 - and remove.
- Detach backrest cover molding - 2 to 8 - at the seat frame.
- Unclip retaining strip - 1 - for backrest cover from the upper backrest pressure distribution plate by releasing catches using a screwdriver.
- Disconnect the connector - 3 -.
- Push valve block - 4 - up slightly - arrow - and remove together with connected pneumatic lines - 2 -.
- Carefully release locking mechanism - arrow B -, disconnect pneumatic lines - 1 - and - 2 -.
- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side of the backrest.
- Versions with heated seats: Free up and disconnect harness connector for seat heater.
- Free up valve block together with pneumatic lines.
- Press lower backrest cushion forward slightly, unclip clips from the seat frame and remove backrest cover together with backrest cushion.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Ensure that the backrest cover is situated free of wrinkles.
