Coolant Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Spanner Wrench (3212)

Removing

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the supercharger ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Supercharger Ribbed Belt ] Supercharger Ribbed Belt.

- Remove the ribbed belt from the A/C compressor but do not remove it completely. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.

- Remove the lock carrier cover - 3 -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and air guide - 1 -.






• Ignore - 2 -.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - for the coolant pump ribbed belt pulley using a (3212) to counter hold.






- Remove the bolts and remove the ribbed belt pulley.

- Disconnect vacuum hose - 1 -.






• Lay a cloth below to catch escaping coolant.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and move the coolant pump to the side.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Coolant Pump and Thermostat Overview ] Coolant Pump and Thermostat Overview.

- Clean any oil or grease off the sealing surfaces.

- Install the air guide.

- Install the lock carrier cover.

- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.

- Fill with coolant => [ Filling ] Service and Repair.
