Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair
ATF pipes and ATF Cooler, Cleaning

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782)
• Hose diameter approximately 18 mm
• Compressed air gun, commercially available
• Protective goggles
Procedure
- Always blow out the ATF-cooler and ATF pipes before installing replacement transmission with an air pressure maximum of 10 bar.
- Place the (V.A.G 1782) under the transmission.
• If extremely dirty ATF flows out when cleaning using compressed air, flush the ATF cooler and lines using clean ATF.
