9 Adjusting Shim

Removing the inner Race/Tapered Roller Bearing from the Spur Gear
A Separating tool 22 to 115 mm , for example, (Kukko 17/2)
• Both spur gear inner race/tapered roller bearings are removed the same way.
• Bearing inner- and outer race of tapered roller bearing are paired. Do not interchange them.
• The inner race/tapered roller bearings can also be removed using the tapered roller bearing puller (V.A.G 1582) and the handle (V.A.G 1582/8). Install the (40 - 105) at the same time.

A Counter-support , for example, (Kukko 22/2)
B Internal puller 37 to 46 mm , for example, (Kukko 21/6)
Installing the Small Ball Bearing - A - in the Center Differential
Removing the Large Ball Bearing - B - from the Center Differential
- Install the (VW 447 H) with the small diameter into the center differential.
- Place the (40 - 105) on it.
A Three-arm puller , for example, (Kukko 45-2)
