Removal and Installation

Left and Right Transmission Mounts

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Engine/Transmission Jack (V.A.G 1383 A)

• Final Drive Support (T10337)

Removing

- Remove the rear bumper cover.

- Remove the left and right transmission mount nuts - 1 - while counterholding with an open end wrench - 2 -.





- Remove the spacer washers.

CAUTION!
There is the risk of an accident.

• The Engine/Transmission Jack (V.A.G 1383 A) may only be used during assembly and must not sit unsupervised under the vehicle.

- Support the transmission with the Engine/Transmission Jack (V.A.G 1383 A) and installed Transmission Support (T10337) as shown in the illustration.





- Remove the transmission oil lines from the rear of the transmission. Refer to => [ Rear Transmission Oil Lines ] Rear Transmission Oil Lines.

- Remove the left and right bolts - arrows - and the transmission supports.





- Remove the left and right bolts - arrows - and the transmission mount.





Installing

• Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Transmission Mount Assembly Overview ] Description and Operation.

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

- Install the transmission oil lines. Refer to => [ Rear Transmission Oil Lines ] Rear Transmission Oil Lines.

- Remove the rear bumper cover.
