Turn Signal Bulb: Service and Repair






Front Turn Signal Lamp Bulbs

CAUTION!
Risk of injury.

Wear protective gloves.

Headlamps must be adjusted after performing measures that could influence headlamp adjustment. Refer to => [ Headlamps, Checking and Adjusting ] Adjustments.

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Removing





- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ HID Headlamp Housing ] HID Headlamp Housing.

The turn signal cover is initially installed as a unit with the headlamp housing. It cannot be removed without being damaged, but it can be replaced separately for repairs.

- Cut through the seam on the turn signal cover - 1 - with a sharp knife and remove the turn signal cover.

- Release the retaining springs - arrows - and remove the socket - 2 - with the bulb from the housing.

Installing





Tightening specification, refer to => [ Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps Assembly Overview ] Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Insert the new bulb in the headlamp socket, taking care not to touch the glass bulb with bare hands.

- Close the opening in the headlamp with the housing cover - 1 - from the repair set.

- Tighten the bolts - arrows -.

- Install headlamp. Refer to => [ HID Headlamp Housing ] HID Headlamp Housing.
