Removing





Proceed as follows:

- Remove the right engine compartment trim => [ Left and Right Engine Compartment Trim ] Left and Right Engine Compartment Trim.

- Disconnect the electrical connectors - 1 - and - 2 -.

- Remove the nut - 1 -.





CAUTION!
Risk of injury!

• When removing and installing, a second technician is needed to support and hold the engine compartment lid.

- Loosen the nut - 2 - two turns.

- Disengage the left and right engine compartment lid gas-filled strut by raising the retaining spring - 2 - with a small screwdriver - 1 - - arrow - and removing the strut - 3 - from the ball stud.





- With a second technician, pull the engine compartment lid - 3 - off the hinge in the - direction of the arrow -.





Installing

• Tightening specifications => [ Engine Compartment Lid Assembly Overview ] Engine Compartment Lid Assembly Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Adjust the engine compartment lid => [ Engine Compartment Lid, Adjusting ] Adjustments.
