Valve Cover: Service and Repair

Cylinder Head Cover

Removing

- Drain coolant => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] Service and Repair.

- Remove ignition coils.

- Remove intake manifold

- Loosen cylinder head cover bolts in - 17 to 1 - sequence.





- Remove bolts and remove cylinder head cover.

Installing

• Tightening specifications => [ Cylinder Head Cover Tightening Sequence ] Cylinder Head and Cover, Assembly Overview

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Replace cylinder head cover seals and bolts if damaged.

- Tighten cylinder head cover bolts => [ Cylinder Head Cover Tightening Sequence ] Cylinder Head and Cover, Assembly Overview

- Install intake manifold

- Install ignition coils.

- Fill with coolant => [ Filling ] Service and Repair.
