Removing the rear side door assembly




Mark the location of the hinges.

Remove:
- the tensioned retaining pins (clamp the pins if necessary)
- the rubber boot for the cable from the B-post
- the connector by pressing in the lock on the connector
- the four screws for the hinge on the side of the door
- the rear side door.

Note! A 0.5 mm shim is positioned between the lower hinge and the rear side door.

Installing the rear side door assembly

Note! For new doors, first remove the welded washer from the hinge. Rust-proof the hinge.

Clean the mating surfaces.
Position the door so that it is correctly located for the markings on the hinges.

Install:
- a 0.5 mm shim between the lower hinge and the door
- the four screws. Finger tighten
- the tensioned retaining pins.

Note! The opening in the tensioned retaining pins in line with the spacer.

- the connector
- the rubber boot in the B-post.
Carefully close the door. Check the alignment.
Open the door. Tighten the four screws. Tighten to 21 Nm.

Mark the location of the hinges.
Open the front side door.
Slacken off the four screws. Remove the hinge.

Installing the hinge for the rear side door

Note! When installing a new hinge, paint the hinge the correct color before installation.

Clean the mating surfaces.

Install:
- a 0.5 mm shim at the lower hinge
- the hinge according to the marking
- the screws. Tighten lightly.
Check the alignment.
Tighten the screws. Tighten to 21 Nm.
