Rear Door: Adjustments






Adjusting the rear side door

General
The doors must open and close easily.
The edges of the doors must be flush with the exterior of the car.
All doors can be adjusted at the striker plate and at the hinge.

Adjusting the rear side door




The screws on the chassis are used for greater adjustment.

Note! Mark the location of the hinge using a pen.

Close the door. Slacken off the four screws on the B-post.
Adjust the door.
Tighten the screws. Tighten to 21 Nm.

Adjusting the striker plate




Slacken off the screws until the striker plate can be moved.
Ensure that the door does not rest against the striker plate. Ensure that the striker plate is not forcing the door upwards.
Hold the door handle out. Check that the door can be opened and closed without sticking.
Check that the door closes properly. Check that the door is fully in line with the car body.
Tighten the screws. Tighten to 21 Nm.
