Checking manual shifting

Disconnecting control module





Note! Ignition off.

Remove transmission control module (TCM) according to Replacing the transmission control module (TCM), AW50-42 Service and Repair.

Check
Drive the car and check that transmission shifts in all positions.





Check:
Car does not move in position N
That shift-lock is engaged in position P.
Gear selector cable properly adjusted. See Adjusting gear selector cable, AW50-42 Adjusting Gear Selector Cable.

Incorrect result
Replace transmission according to Replacing the transmission, AW50-42 Replacing Transmission.
