Removing/fitting the rear pulse wheel
Removing the rear brake caliper and brake disc
Remove
- the hub cap and wheel.
- the brake pads, see action Brake pads rear, replacement Brake Pads Rear, Replacing.
- the brake hose from the support.
- the complete brake caliper holder including caliper unit and suspend it with a piece of wire so that the brake hose will not be damaged.
- retaining bolt and brake disc.
Removing the wheel hub
Remove the hub cap and nut.
Remove the wheel hub.
Changing the pulse wheel
Remove the four bolts and the pulse wheel. Clean the hub and fit a new pulse wheel. Tightening torque -97 25 Nm, 98- 8 Nm.
Clean the stub axle and hub.
Fit the hub and screw on the new nut. Tighten -97 to: 175 Nm, 98- to 120 Nm and angle tighten 30°.
Clean and refit the brake disc. Tightening torque 5 Nm.
Fit
- the brake caliper, see action Replacement of rear brake disc Brake Disc Rear, Replacing -
- the brake hose, position the holder.
Fit the wheel, see action Brake pads rear, replacement Brake Pads Rear, Replacing.
Check that the ABS is in proper working order
Read the fault codes.
Test drive the car and check whether the ABS warning light goes out.
Check whether any fault codes have been generated.
