AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: REAR AXLE HUB (for Hatchback): INSTALLATION

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH side as for the LH side.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY (for Rear Drum Brake)

(a) Install the axle hub and bearing onto the axle beam with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 90 Nm (918 kgf-cm, 66 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY (for Rear Disc Brake)

(a) Install the dust cover and the axle hub and bearing onto the axle beam with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 90 Nm (918 kgf-cm, 66 ft-lbf)

3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING BACKLASH (for Rear Drum Brake) Rear Axle Hub (for Hatchback)

4. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING BACKLASH (for Rear Disc Brake) Rear Axle Hub (for Hatchback)

5. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT (for Rear Drum Brake) Rear Axle Hub (for Hatchback)

6. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT (for Rear Disc Brake) Rear Axle Hub (for Hatchback)

7. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (w/ ABS) Installation (from 07/2011)

8. INSTALL REAR DISC (for Rear Disc Brake) Installation (from 07/2011)

9. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER MOUNTING (for Rear Disc Brake) Installation (from 07/2011)

10. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE PAD (for Rear Disc Brake) Installation (from 07/2011)

11. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Rear Disc Brake) Installation (from 07/2011)

12. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Rear Disc Brake) Installation (from 07/2011)

13. INSTALL REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Rear Drum Brake)

14. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

15. INSPECT AND ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL (for Rear Disc Brake)

Adjustments

16. INSPECT REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Rear Wheel Alignment (for Hatchback) (from 07/2011)

17. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (w/ ABS)
