C1AB2 - Short to GND in Outer Mirror Indicator(Master)

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects a ground short in the outer rear view mirror indicator RH.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Blind Spot Monitor System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH)

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH)

(a) Disconnect connector O28 from the blind spot monitor sensor RH.

(b) Disconnect connector J13 from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR RH (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR RH)

(a) Disconnect connector IND1 from the outer rear view mirror RH.

(b) Check that the outer rear view mirror indicator turns on.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the outer rear view mirror RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH) and check that the outer rear view mirror indicator turns on.





OK:

OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR RH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH)

(a) Disconnect connector IND1 from the outer rear view mirror RH.

(b) Reconnect connector J13 to the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH Removal

OK -- REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH Removal
