Fault Symptom 2

No Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

The fuel gauge shows empty and the fuel warning lamp does not light up. The range indicator reads normal. Fuel level indication is correct. The fuel level sensor signal is correct.

Action

1 Unplug the 39-pin connector from the EDU control module and check that battery voltage from the fuel gauge is present across connector pins 24 and 21.

2 If the voltage is incorrect, check the leads for continuity by measuring the fuel gauge power supply across pins 7 and 2 (-93) or pins 7 and 8 (M94). This will pinpoint the fault to either the lead between the fuel gauge and the EDU control module or the fuel gauge itself.

3 If the voltage is correct, try another EDU control module. Refer to signal levels, Fault Symptom 3
