Fuel Door Release Cable: Service and Repair

FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the following parts:
a. Front scuff plate (driver's side) Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

b. Front side trim (driver's side) Front Side Trim Removal/Installation

c. Rear scuff plate (driver's side) Rear Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

d. B-pillar lower trim B-Pillar Lower Trim Removal/Installation

e. Sub-trunk Sub-Trunk Removal/Installation

f. Trunk end trim Trunk End Trim Removal/Installation

g. Third-row seat Rear - Third-Row Seat Removal/Installation

h. Third-row seat belt lower anchor installation bolt (RH) Third-Row Seat Belt Removal/Installation

i. Cargo compartment light Service and Repair

j. Trunk side trim (RH)

k. Fuel-filler lid opener lever Service and Repair

3. Partially peel back the floor covering.

4. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips A and B.






5. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips C and D.






6. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips E and F.






7. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips G and H.






8. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips I and J.






9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
