Hood Latch Release Cable Replacement - Broken

Removal Procedure




1. Mask off the lower edge of the hood to protect the paint.
2. Cut across the top of each square in the grille.
3. Remove the remaining two grille screws.
4. Remove the grille (1).
5. Reach under the core support to open the hood.
6. Remove the hood release cable. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement (Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement).

Important: Check the hood operation before installing the new grille.


7. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement (Service and Repair) in Exterior Trim.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the hood release cable. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement (Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement).

Important: Check the hood operation before installing the new grille.


2. Install the grille (1). Refer to Grille Replacement (Service and Repair) in Exterior Trim.
