Backrest Cover and Backrest Cushion for Rear Seat Bench, Separating and Connecting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Upholstery clip pliers (V.A.G 1634)

Removing






- Remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Backrest ] Rear Seat Backrest.

- Remove headrest guides. Refer to => [ Headrest Guide ] Headrest Guide.

- Detach molding for backrest cover surrounding the seat frame. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Multi-contour Seat ] Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Multi-contour Seat.

- Pull off backrest cover - 1 - from the backrest cushion - 2 - as far as possible and cut upholstery clips - 3 - using pliers.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Ensure that the backrest cover is situated free of wrinkles.

- Install new upholstery clips using upholstery clip pliers (V.A.G 1634).
