Removing The Transmission

Removal

Remove the brackets for auxiliary equipment. Auxiliary brackets, B6324S5 Service and Repair
Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling system - draining, charging and bleeding Service and Repair.
Torque: M6, 10 Nm
Torque: M6, 10 Nm
Torque: M8, 24 Nm
Remove the following items:
1. Torque: M10, 50 Nm
2. Torque: M8, 24 Nm
Remove the following items:
- Front subframe. Refer to: Sub-frame front, replacing, B6324S5 Service and Repair
- left driveshaft. Refer to: Drive shaft left, replacing, B6324S5, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S5, TF-80SC Drive Shaft Left, Replacing
- Refer to: Drive shaft right, replacing, B8444S, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S5, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S5, TF-80SC Drive Shaft Right, Replacing.
Torque: M10, 50 Nm
Caution! Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Remove the following items:
1. Torque: M8, 24 Nm
2. Torque: M10, 50 Nm
3. Torque: M6, 10 Nm
Remove the following items:
- starter motor. Refer to: Starter motor, B6324S5 Service and Repair
- front crankshaft seal. Refer to: crankshaft front seal, B6324S5 Service and Repair.
999 7257 Wrench 999 7257 Wrench.
Tightening torque:Torque converter to carrier plate. Refer to: Tightening torque Mechanical Specifications.
999 5972 FIXTURE 999 5972 Fixture.
Torque: M10, 50 Nm
Note! This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Torque: M8, 24 Nm
Installation
Prepared transaxle. Refer to: Transmission, preparations before installing , TF-80SC, TF-80SC AWD Transmission, Preparations Before Installing.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
