Wiper mechanism windshield, replacing

Removal

Preparations
- Check that the wiper motor is in the parked position. Switch on the ignition. Switch the wipers on and off
- Switch off the ignition.

Remove:
- the windshield wiper arms. See Wiper arm / blade windshield, replacing Wiper Arm/Blade Windshield, Replacing.
- plenum chamber and gutter. See: Cowl, replacing Service and Repair
- the cable ties.
- Disconnect the connectors for the wiper motor
- the screws for the mechanism. Remove the pin from the rubber bushing.

Installation

Windscreen wiper mechanism
- Lubricate the lug using a soap solution
- Install the mechanism in the correct position
- Tighten the screws
- Connect the connectors
- Tighten the screws. Tighten to 20 Nm. Start with the outer screw (closest to the front wing)
- Install the plenum chamber/gutter. See: Cowl, replacing Service and Repair
- Reset the wiper motor and mechanism by switching on the ignition and then turn the wiper switch on and off
- Install the wiper arms. See Wiper arm / blade windshield, replacing Wiper Arm/Blade Windshield, Replacing.
