Oil Pan: Service and Repair

Oil pan, replacing

Note! Some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Removal

Remove the following items:
- oil filter
- engine support insulator, right Refer to: Engine pad, right, replacement, B8444S Engine Pad, Right, Replacement
- lower torque rod Refer to: Torque rod, lower, replacement, B8444S Torque Rod Lower, Replacing
- catalytic converter Refer to: Three-way catalytic converter (TWC), replacing, B8444S Service and Repair
- engine cooling fan (FC) Refer to: Engine cooling fan (FC), replacing, B8444S Service and Repair

Installation

For tightening torques, see Tightening Torque

Caution! Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

Caution! Take extra care not to damage the mating faces.

Use: Liquid gasket, 30757050.

Note! Minimum 1 mm bead thickness.

Note! The component must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the sealant.

Use: Liquid gasket, 307 57050.

Note! minimum 1 mm bead width.

Note! The component must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the sealant.

- lower torque rod Refer to: Torque rod, lower, replacement, B8444S Torque Rod Lower, Replacing
- engine support insulator, right Refer to: Engine pad, right, replacement, B8444S Engine Pad, Right, Replacement
- oil filter.
