Outer Timing Cover Gasket






Outer timing cover gasket

Note! Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.






Removal

Remove the auxiliaries brackets. Refer to: Auxiliary brackets, B6324S Service and Repair.

Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling system - draining, charging and bleeding Service and Repair.








999 5760 Counterhold 999 5760 Counterhold and 951 2926 Bit torx 50 951 2926 Bit Torx(R) 50.












Remove the gasket and replace with a new one.




Remove and scrap the intermediate shaft seal.

Installation




Use the tool and 3 screws in the indicated spot to guide the cover and gasket in the right position.
999 7266 Position sensor 999 7266 Position Sensor and 999 7267 Position sensor 999 7267 Position Sensor.




Insert all screws - 20 M7 screws and 2 M8 screws. Do not tighten.




M7. Refer to Specifications, B6324S Tightening Torque




Tighten the screws in the order illustrated.

Install the following items:
- M6. Refer to Specifications, B6324S Tightening Torque
- M7. Refer to Specifications, B6324S Tightening Torque
- M8. Refer to Specifications, B6324S Tightening Torque

Install the drive wheel and new seal. Refer to: Intermediate shaft gasket, auxiliaries side, B6324S Intermediate Shaft Gasket, Auxiliaries Side.

Install the auxiliaries brackets. Refer to: Auxiliary brackets, B6324S Service and Repair.

Charge the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling system - draining, charging and bleeding Service and Repair.
