Replacing the shift lock solenoid and micro-switch

Removal

Conditions
- Remove the center console according to Rear center console Rear Center Console.

Removing the shift lock solenoid with micro-switch





Caution! Move the gear selector to position L to prevent damage when removing / installing the micro-switch.If the shift lock solenoid does not operate: Turn the ignition key to position 1. Depress the SHIFTLOCK OVERRIDE button to move the gear selector lever.

- Remove the connector from the gear shift. Disconnect the connector (A)
- Remove the clamp (B). Remove the solenoid.

Caution! Undo the clamp (B) on the reverse of the bracket to prevent damage to the clamp.

- Remove the micro-switch: Press the lugs together.

Installation

Installing the shift lock solenoid with micro-switch





Caution! Move the gear selector to position L to prevent damage when removing / installing the micro-switch.Turn the ignition key to position I. Depress the SHIFTLOCK OVERRIDE button to move the gear selector lever.

- Press the micro-switch into place on the gear selector
- Install the micro-switch. Secure the micro-switch using the clamp
- Connect the connector. Secure the connector on the gear selector
- Install the center console according to Rear center console Rear Center Console.

Check and erase any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
