Leak Detection Pump: Service and Repair






Leak diagnostic pump, replacing

Note! As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Preparatory work

Removing the carbon filter container
Remove the carbon filter container. See Replacing the carbon filter container Service and Repair.

Removal

Removing the leak diagnostic pump





Remove:
- 2 tie straps on the cable harness
- the connector.




Remove the tie strap around the filler pipe/evacuation pipe.




Carefully pull out the evacuation pipe until the joint for the hose is accessible.

Note! Do not bend the evacuation pipe.

Remove the leak diagnostic pump to the left.

Installation

Installing the leak diagnostic pump




Insert the hose. Connect the hose to the evacuation pipe.

Hint: Lubricate the hose using soap solution to facilitate installation.

Carefully route the pipe to its original position.

Note! Do not bend the evacuation pipe.




Install the tie strap around the filler pipe/evacuation pipe.





Install:
- 2 tie straps on the cable harness
- the connector.
