Tailgate components

Preparations




After spraying, rust-proof the new tailgate.
Transfer the gas strut and cover.

Note! All components must be removed from the tailgate while in position.

Ensure that the components and cable harness are installed in such a way that they do not rattle.

Replacing the components for the tailgate

Replace:
- the tailgate panel according to Tailgate panel Service and Repair
- the rear spoiler according to Replacing the rear spoiler S40 Rear Spoiler
- the lock mechanism according to Tailgate lock mechanism Tailgate Lock Mechanism
- the lock cylinder according to Tailgate lock cylinder Tailgate Lock Cylinder.
Adjust the tailgate according to Adjusting the tailgate Adjustments.
