Power Trunk / Liftgate Lock Actuator: Service and Repair

Central locking motor for the trunk lid or tailgate

Removing central locking motor for the trunk lid (S40)




Remove the panel according to Tailgate panel Service and Repair.
Press the rod out of the lock cylinder retaining clip.

Remove:
- the two screws
- the motor
- the connector.
Unhook the connecting rod.

Removing the central locking motor for the tailgate (V40)




Remove the panel according to Tailgate panel .
Press the rod out of the lock cylinder retaining clip.

Remove:
- the two screws
- the motor
- the connector.
Unhook the connecting rod.

Installing the central locking for the motor tailgate or trunk lid (S40/V40)
Connect the connector.

Install:
- the connecting rod
- the motor
- the screws. Finger tighten.

Note! Press the lock barrel as far to the right as possible. Press the motor as far to the left as possible. Tighten the screws.

Check the function of the motor.

Install:
- the panel (S40) according to Tailgate panel Service and Repair
- the panel (V40) according to Tailgate panel .
