Removing the upper B-post panel
Remove the lower panel from the B-post. See Lower B-post panel Lower B-Post Panel.
Pull off the panel at the bottom.
Lift out the panel at the top.
Note! Take care with the wiring for the seat belt tensioner.
Remove the panel on the seat.
Remove the screw for the seat belt.
Insert the seat belt through the cut-out in the panel.
Remove the panel.
Installing the upper B-post panel
Note! When replacing the panel on cars built in 2001-2002, use a panel from model year 2003. This panel must be modified by cutting off the guide on the panel (1) using a metal saw.
Insert the seat belt through the cut-out in the panel.
Hook the panel into place at the top. Install the clips at the bottom of the panel.
Install:
- the screw for the seat belt. Tighten to 48 Nm
- the side panel for the front seat
- the lower on the B-post panel. See Lower B-post panel Lower B-Post Panel.
