Siren

Removing the siren

Preparations




Make a note of the anti-theft radio code.
Turn the ignition key to position 0.
Detach the negative lead from the battery.

Removing the fender liner
Remove the fender liner on right-hand side. See Plastic fender liner Service and Repair.

Removing the siren





Remove:
- the two screws (A)
- the gray connector (GR)
- the siren.

Installing the siren

Installing the siren





Install:
- the gray connector (GR)
- the siren in position (B) with the rubber plug
- the new screw (A). Tighten to 10 Nm.

Note! Use lubricating grease (P/N 1161427) in the connector.

Installing the fender liner
Install the fender liner. See Plastic fender liner Service and Repair.

Finishing work
Turn the ignition to position II.
Reconnect the battery negative lead.
Enter the anti-theft radio code.
Check its function.
Read off any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
