Combined instrument panel, disconnecting
- Remove the two screws from the lower steering wheel cover and lower the shaft.
- Remove the two self tapping screws from the cover panel. Press the edge down out of the clips.
- Remove three self-tapping screws, which the combined instrument panel and remove it (the connectors and cable is behind the dashboard).
Pull straight out.
Note! The combined instrument panel should never be held with the glass surface downwards when transporting and handling.
Combined instrument panel, replacing components
Combined instrument panel, disconnecting
- Remove the glass and the black cover.
- Remove the lower support.
- Press in the clips (7) and remove the cover and the glass.
- Press in the clips (7) and remove the front.
- Remove the temperature module (2 mounting screws).
- Remove the cover as far as the left of the rear of the combined instrument panel. Carefully remove the cables from the connectors.
Note! Never remove the screws for the speedometer before the black protection on the front has been removed. The section of the protection between the speedometer and the warning lamp may be damaged if the speedometer is pushed up.
- Remove the two self tapping screws and the third screw. Remove the speedometer (the screws are different lengths).
- Remove the four screws. Remove the tachometer.
- Remove the two screws on the front side. Remove the temperature / fuel gauge or the trip computer.
- Carefully disconnect the flexible printed circuit board.
Replacing printed circuit board
- Remove the black protection at the top on the left. Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the temperature module (2 mounting screws).
- Remove the lamps.
- Remove the screws from the speedometer and the tachometer.
- Carefully remove the printed circuit board.
Ensure that the correct buttons are in the correct position on the front.
Replacing a dial face on the combined instrument panel
Hint: The dial face is positioned on the white housing. It is self-adhesive.
- Carefully remove the dial face.
- Carefully remove adhesive remains on the dial face.
- Never reinstall a used dial face.
Disconnecting the temperature module
- Install the temperature module. Screw it into place with 2 screws and connect the connector.
Combined instrument panel, installing
- Reinstall the combined instrument panel (procedure in reverse order).
- First Install the front protection, then the glass.
Note! Note the following:
- When installing the front protection take care with the two small pins on the underside. The pins should be inserted in the corresponding openings in the white housing.
- When the front black protection is installed, the pins should be pushed in slightly to avoid light leakage from the underside of the speedometer.
Note! This should be done with some soft material (rubber or cloth), never by finger only.
Note! Ensure that the connectors are correctly positioned.
