C14 Checking the Central Locking Relay's Windings

C14 Checking driver's door relay and central locking relay.




Switch ignition off.
Replace central locking relay D/G and driver's door relay N.
Remove panels by A-posts, B-posts and LH trunk side as necessary.
Loosen central locking module connector.

Checking driver's door relay:
Connect a voltmeter by driver's door A-post between position 5 and position 6 of 24-pin connector pin section.

Checking central locking relay.




Connect a voltmeter by passenger door A-post between position 5 and position 6 of 24-pin connector pin section.

Connect a voltmeter by rear door B-post between position 1 and position 2 of 11-pin connector female section.

Connect a voltmeter on LH side of luggage compartment between position 11 and position 12 of 24-pin connector male section.

Voltmeter should read approx. 0 Volts in each case.

If all readings are correct: Go to step C15. C15 Checking Central Locking Windings at Door Posts

If any reading is incorrect:
Fault in central locking relay and/or driver's door relay.

Go to step C20. C20 Checking Locking Signal Cables
