Windshield Wiper Blades, Adjusting Park Position

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

- Deactivate APP function. Refer to => [ Wiper Motor Alternating Park Position Function, Deactivating ] Testing and Inspection if not already done by this time.

- Let wiper run into rest position and then switch off ignition.

- Now set the park positions of the windshield wiper blades.

Driver Side






Distance - A - between tips of wiper lips and upper edge of plenum chamber cover must be 10 mm.

- If necessary, set park position of windshield wiper blades by offsetting wiper arms.

Wiper arms, removing, refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Arms ] Windshield Wiper Arms.

- Tighten the threaded connections to the specification given in the assembly overview. Refer to => [ Windshield Wiper System Overview ] Windshield Wiper System Overview.

Passenger Side






Distance - B - between tips of wiper lips and upper edge of plenum chamber cover must be 10 mm.

- If necessary, set park position of windshield wiper blades by offsetting wiper arms.
