Tensioned Headliner, Removing






• The roof is closed.

If tensioned headliner must be removed completely, tensioning cables should be loosened. Refer to => [ Tensioned Headliner Tensioning Bands ] Tensioned Headliner Tensioning Bands.

- Pull sides of tensioned headliner - 1 - in - direction of arrow a - out of side mounts - 3 - in rail - 2 -.

- Pull front edge of tensioned headliner in - direction of arrow b - out of front rail mounts.






- Transfer centering mark - arrow a - from tensioned headliner to rail - arrow b -.

- Pull tensioned headliner - 1 - in - direction of arrow C - out of mount in rail - 2 -.

• By opening the rear window frame, it is easier to remove the tensioned headliner in the rear area.






- Transfer centering mark - arrow a - from tensioned headliner to rail - arrow b -.

- Remove screws - 4 - from grommets.

- Remove grommets from retaining strip.

Proceed as carefully as possible when removing retaining strip.

If catches - 5 - are damaged when removing retaining strip, a new tensioned headliner must be installed.

- Pull retaining strip to the rear slightly in - direction of arrow c -, then remove it downward - arrow d -. When doing so, ensure catches - 5 - come out of mounts.
