Radiator: Service and Repair

Radiator

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Drip Tray (V.A.G 1306)

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Remove the fan shroud. Refer to => [ Fan Shroud ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the clips from the bumper carrier.

- Loosen the clamps on the Air Conditioning (A/C) condenser and the automatic transmission fluid cooler - arrow -.






- Remove the radiator upper bolts and remove the radiator upward.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Fill the coolant. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.

- Electrical connections and routing. Refer to

- Install the front bumper.

- Check the headlamp adjustment and correct, if necessary. Maintenance Procedures Rep. Gr. 03 Maintenance Procedures.
