Oil Pan: Service and Repair






Oil Pan, Assembly Overview

The oil pan (upper and lower part) can only be removed or installed with the oil filter housing removed --> [ Oil Filter Housing, Assembly Overview ] Service and Repair.





1 Oil pump

Removing and installing --> [ Oil Pump ] Oil Pump

2 Pipe connection

3 10 Nm

4 Chain tensioner

Before removing, secure using locking pin (T40011).

5 10 Nm

6 Chain sprocket

Note installation position --> [ Installation position of chain sprocket for oil pump drive ]

7 34 Nm

8 Drive chain

For oil pump

Removal of drive chain --> [ Oil Pump Drive Chain ] Oil Pump Drive Chain

9 30 Nm

10 Oil pan, upper part

11 Oil pan, lower part

12 10 Nm

13 Oil Level Thermal Sensor (G266)

14 10 Nm

15 Oil drain plug, 50 Nm

For oil pan, lower part

16 Seal

Replace

17 15 Nm

18 Oil drain plug, 50 Nm

For oil pan, upper part

19 22 Nm

20 Seal

Replace

21 10 Nm

22 25 Nm

23 Oil intake tube

For oil sump in upper part of oil pan

Installation position of chain sprocket for oil pump drive





- Set chain sprocket with flattened side - arrow - onto oil pump shaft. The text on the chain sprocket faces toward front.
